The terms

The parts everyone
else buries.

These are the questions worth asking any vendor before you sign. Here are the answers for this one, in advance.

01

How long am I committed for?

A month. It renews monthly until you stop it.

A twelve-month agreement is the ordinary shape of this category. This is not that.

02

What does it cost to leave?

Nothing. You cancel and the billing stops.

Leaving early commonly costs a buyout of the months remaining. There is no buyout here because there is no term to buy out.

03

Who owns the domain?

You do. Register it yourself, in your name, and point it here.

If the domain sits in the vendor’s account, the vendor decides what happens to it. Yours should not.

04

Who owns the content?

You do — your copy, your photographs, your listings, your contacts.

Your contact list is the business. It leaves with you.

05

What happens to the site if I cancel?

The hosted site goes offline. Your domain, your content and your CRM data stay yours to take.

Said plainly rather than discovered later: the monthly pays for hosting and ongoing work, so it stops when the monthly stops. Ask for an export before you go and you get one.

06

Who do I contact when something breaks?

The person who built it. Directly.

Not a queue, and not a different company than the one that built the other half.

Side by side

The usual shape, and this one.

Describing the ordinary shape of the category, not any one company. Checkable against vendors’ own published terms.

The last row is the one where this loses. It is here because you would find out anyway.

Also asked

The rest of it.

No — the opposite. GoHighLevel is what this runs on. If you already have an account, the work happens in yours.

Usually. Send the address and you will get a straight answer about whether rebuilding it or starting again is the better idea.

No. That is not built and it is not approved. If listing search on your own domain is the thing you need most, say so — but do not buy this expecting it.

No. It is month to month, and cancelling costs nothing beyond the month you are in.

I do, from the conversation at the start, and then you change whatever you want changed.

The hosted site goes offline and the billing stops. Your domain, your content and your CRM data are yours; ask for an export and you get one.

Yes. Nothing points at your domain until you have looked at the whole thing on a preview link and said so.

Start with the conversation.

Half an hour, no pitch deck, and a straight answer about whether this is worth doing for your business. If it is not, you will be told that.
